Saturday, October 9th – Midsummer Blessing on the Meadow

Midsummer Blessing 2021
Midsummer Blessing 2021

St Peter’s Church in Hersham have invited us to an open air Midsummer Blessing. It has previously been held on Hersham Green but this year will be a on Vauxmead Meadow, on Burwood Road opposite the church.

It is a local tradition that St Peter’s Church holds a Christmas blessing especially dedicated to Wimbledon Greyhound Welfare’s Hersham Hounds, kennel hounds and homed hounds alike; 2020’s event was rescheduled to Easter and now to June.

The Christmas Blessing is a beautiful festive event which has become very popular over the years and we’re sure this rescheduled Midsummer version will only be more special for the wait.

Kennel Hounds to be booked in advance. Please call the office on 01932 251894 and collect the hounds from the kennels no later than 10.30 on the day of the event.

The service will start on the Green from 11am with refreshments afterwards at the kennels.
