Please enjoy some photos from our ‘Rocco’ s Royal Tea Party’ event in memory of the early passing of this lovely greyhound boy, held at the kennels yesterday, sent to us by volunteer Holly Keane. But first some words from Rocco’s owner, Becky:
I am utterly overwhelmed with everybody’s generosity and empathy at Rocco’s Royal Tea Party in memory of our darling Rocco, who sadly passed away last month very suddenly.
With heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you, we have raised an amazing £869.94! In addition, the top bid on Rocco’s coat was £150, which brings the amount raised up to £1,019.94! Jamie and I have rounded this up, which makes the final total raised an incredible £1,030.00!
I truly cannot thank you all enough but special thanks must go to Carol Cowie for allowing us to host this special event, Sharon Lucy Wells and her team for the catering, Julia Renfree, Caroline Bristow, my lovely Mum, Dorine Gibson for some of the wonderful raffle donations, Holly Staples of Hollys Rings for donating her sales, Mark Sherren of Surrey Dog Feeds for the donation of dog treats for the Hound Cafe, Estefanía González who won Rocco’s coat, Phylly Clarke of Greytcoats for making the coat, my lovely husband and family for helping out on the day and last but not least, everyone of you who came to support Wimbledon Greyhound Welfare! I could not have done this without all of you!
I am hoping to get some things for the Sanctuary garden, where Rocco loved the peace and tranquility. Once I’ve decided I will post pictures for you all.
The final word must be from Rocco, the most very special hound who inspired me to hold a fundraiser in his memory. We did you proud baby boy! You will forever live in our hearts and could not have been more loved
