Nala was one of the first hounds we walked when we started volunteering at the kennels back in March 2009. She was a sanctuary hound and was very nervous around strangers and unfamiliar surroundings. We gained her trust over time; so much so that when we came to actually look to home a hound we did give her a trial run over a couple of days. However, in a home she reverted to being a terrified little girl and everyone thought that it was for the best for her to remain in the sanctuary. This led to Amy Winetavern ending up with us but that is another story.
Nala was a very loving hound and enjoyed life in the sanctuary with familiar faces and routines. We did keep taking her out for walks and it was a very sad day when we learnt she had passed away in Spring 2013.
She will never be forgotten by those who knew and loved her. Her are some photographs from her time at WGW.
