Homeless hound, Betty, found her forever home today. Betty, 4, could have been a long term kennel hound, were it not for her lovely new owners, who saw her on our website, fell in love immediately with her and have been taking her out and about and home, to see what she was like away from kennels.
Betty needs more socialising with other breeds and is very vocal about it (and strong!). But Betty has won her new owners over who know it isn’t aggression and said: “We love her anyway”. So a very happy ending for Barking Betty. We wish her and her new family all the best for a happy future together.
Special thanks also to our lovely volunteer, Christine Cameron, who has been working on helping Betty improve on walks and enabled her to discover life beyond a kennel whilst a homeless hound. It makes all the difference to a kennel hound to have that special person taking them out and about.
And how rewarding for us all to know Barking Betty will be a very much loved Greyhound lady. Xxx
