A huge thank you to all of you who helped make this Community weekend event such a success. Apart from the all round support of everyone who joined us, we raised a magnificent £1,302.22 towards the vet care we have had to seek for incoming hounds like Nancy, George and Marshall.
Nancy was used as a breeding bitch until 9 years old in Ireland and she has had a fungal infection in her lungs which we were able to identify but which has involved antibiotics and xrays, showing a shadow on her lung which now requires further investigation. George has been returned from a home and has a wrist injury & deep corn which has required an operation & laser therapy. Marshall has arrived with an eye injury we will need to investigate. All of these intakes required veterinary care which obviously has consequential cost implications.
Thanks to the dedication of supporters like Sharon Wells, Stella Murphy, Julia Renfree, Anneka Rubin and Rita Forsyth, this Coffee Morning was organised to help ease the burden of these unexpected additional bills for essential vet care. And you turned out to support us as best you could. We are so lucky to be part of such a close, caring houndie community. Every penny counts, so thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us to help the hounds as best we can. Carol xx
