Kempton Park – Thank You

It was a long old day at Kempton Park, with the last race being the Wimbledon Greyhound Welfare Handicap Stakes at 6pm ! As usual though, we were made very welcome by the friendly staff, officials and racegoers.

It was lovely to see newly adopted hounds, Sid, Hero and Barry with their lovely owners at their first meet and greet and kennel hounds Robyn, Rod and Abbo enjoying a day out, as well as the usual regulars. Thank you all.

Being the community day, it was a slightly different crowd, lots of children and very busy. We managed to collect £1156.16, including a very kind man donating £200 on the card reader.

Just want to give special thanks to Nick and Jenny with Max and Riley, who picked up all the gear, set up, took down and delivered back to kennels, all on the back of a very tiring day, as well as Gaynor for organising, Sharon and Julia behind the scenes, making sure we have everything neatly packed and washed, and those who stayed to the end to help pack up, Allison, Mark and everyone who helped. Thanks again.
