It will be a busy event, so if you can bring your hound/s along or book out a confident Kennel Hound, we can show what greyt pets greyhounds make.

‘Family Festival Friday” takes place on Friday, 28 August 2026, at Sandown Park Racecourse in Esher. Gates open at 12:30 PM with the first horse race at 2:15 PM and the final race at 4:58 PM.

Alongside 7 races throughout the afternoon, there are children’s activities and entertainment.The event is advertised as an opportunity for families to end this year’s Summer holidays on a high and enjoy one last day out together, as Sandown open their gates to families far and wide for one last Summer party. There are fun fair rides, carnival games, face painters and more – all free of charge!

We hope you can join us to make this event a success for WGW and the hounds we look after ,until we can find them suitable forever homes.
