Handsome, black hound, Freddie, has finally found the forever home he so deserved. Linda and her family are overjoyed with their first ever greyhound who was at the kennels some 18 months – longer than we would have expected for this lovely 5 year old lad.
To share his good news, fellow WGW hound owners, Nick and Robyn, came over to meet Linda and her family and to say goodbye to Freddie who they have been kindly fostering for us, since the beginning of lockdown with their 2 fabulous girl greyhounds, Winnie and Hope. So, Freddie, thanks to Nick and Robyn, was already used to life in a home when Linda took him on and could share information on his likes and dislikes with his foster family. The good news is, Winnie and Hope will still meet their buddy, Freddie, from time to time, as they will all be staying in touch.
Fostering Freddie broke that cycle of him just plodding along in kennels and not really engaging much with potential homers who he tended to drag up the lane in his enthusiasm to get out for a walk. Sharing his adventures on face-book meant that he was showcased amongst our face-book community who could then also see how adorable he truly was and meant he was shortlisted by Linda to meet at the kennels.
Many congratulations to everyone involved in helping Freddie find his perfect home. We wish Linda all the very best with Freddie and hope they have many happy years ahead with him
