If you know Arthur you will know that Arthur loves cuddles! He loves people, he loves going out for walks and he loves having a sofa to really relax on. The only thing Arthur doesn’t love is being in kennels and, because he doesn’t love being in kennels, he doesn’t always show his best side when he meets new people.

This gentle giant was adopted some time ago by a lovely couple who adored him. They set up an Instagram account for him that was full of photos of him stretching out on their sofa showing how happily he had settled into home life. However, their circumstances changed which meant that they had to make the very tough decision to return him to Hersham and so, through absolutely no fault of his own, he is once again looking for his forever sofa.

Arthur has a big fan club at the kennels amongst staff and volunteers who will spend time cuddling him when they have a spare minute and they would all love to see him go home once more.

He loves trips out in the car for a proper walk and recently enjoyed an extra long hike at West End Woods with the other Arthur. They got on really well and enjoyed each other’s company. We met a few off lead dogs including some bouncy small white furries and Arthur behaved perfectly 😇
