A huge thank you to devoted volunteers and hound owners, Julie & John, Lynn & Nikky, for such a greyt community event last night, in aid of our homeless hounds.
A lot of fun alongside the quiz, with hot dogs, chilli, cakes and a raffle, topped off with an amazing announcement that the charity will be receiving an astounding £34,000 legacy to help the homeless hounds, from Julie & John’s friend, a lovely lady, Sheila Samuel, who sadly passed away some months ago now but who used to enjoy the annual Ashford Quiz nights (pre-Covid) & was a huge animal lover. We are bowled over by Sheila’s kindness in thinking of us and we will will of course put this money to good use, in memory of Sheila.
Thank you so much to everyone who worked so hard to make this fundraising evening such a success and made us all feel so welcome and to those who supported the evening by coming along and making up a team.

I’d like to add personal thanks to Lynn, for all her hard work helping me with food etc and to Nikky, who organised the raffle, donating many of the prizes herself and wrapping them beautifully.
We raised a total of £650 on the night, so thank you so much to everyone who took part and helped us achieve this amount.
Julie
