We have all been bowled over by the moving response to our appeal to help the poorly lurcher who was abandoned at the kennels during our Thank you Party at the end of September. Your support and generous donatons for her veterinary care means that she is now fully recovered from the deadly Parvovirus. We cannot thank you all enough for your kindness and for caring.
Without you all, we would not have been able to help Hope who now has a full active life ahead of her. She has gone on her first proper social walk today with WGW kennel assistant, Josh Darvill, surrounded by other sighthounds from the Surrey Sighthound Walking Group who have gone to Puttenham Common and who we appreciate also championed her vet care fundraiser. So ut was quite futting her initial walk was with the SSWG. We are also grateful to Lesli Flynn at ‘Lost Together’ for her fundraising ‘Cookies for Hope’, Anne Isaacson at ‘Sunny’s Sighthound Help’, for her ‘Hope’ cuddly toy raffle and Phylly Clarke for kindly making Hope 2 fabulous fleecy Greytcoats to keep her warm, whilst she still needs to gain more weight, so that she will then be ready to look for a suitable forever home. Special thanks to Molesey Vets/ North Surrey Referral Vets for looking after her during her emergency care.
And a huge thank you for each and every donation. What a fabulous hound community we are so lucky to be part of. Let’s hope that ‘Hope’ now enjoys the best life she can.
