Kennel 4 - Maurice
Maurice is a big, black boy with a cheeky, puppyish character. Although he seems quite confident in kennels, he is actually quite anxious by nature.
He is a loving boy who just needs someone confident and patient to take him under their wing and show him he does not need to see other breeds as such a big issue. It does put people off from homing him, as he can be strong, lunging and barking very loudly in these heated moments. This makes him more difficult to home.
Maurice does not realise standing on his back legs to his full height brings him above average kennel assistant height but he does love a hug! His brother, Buster, is also a kennel hound who loves a hug, but whilst they look alike, Buster is more confident and has improved more quickly around other breeds and in the big wide world.
Maurice will probably be here with us longer than most hounds, meanwhile, he will remain safe, secure and loved, alongside the other Hersham Hounds at WGW.
