Meet the polite and shy Noodles. She came into foster with us after just a day of being in the kennels, bringing her calm personality home.

Although we have loved having her, after discussion with Carol, we have decided she would be better suited to a household with a confident greyhound – or other breed – to show her the ropes. She has struggled with anxiety and could use a role model to follow. So far, she has shown no interest in other dog breeds or toys, so again, a companion to reassure her that it’s okay to open up would benefit her.
Otherwise, she has shown a very endearing personality. She is an excellent walker, but mostly enjoys roaching at home in her comfy bed. Due to a slight recession in anxious behaviour in the last few days, it would be best to introduce walks slowly, so she does not become too daunted and overwhelmed, although this may not be an issue with another dog in the mix. That said, she has not shown any reactivity to loud noises (including fireworks), and as of yet, hasn’t shown a strong prey drive. She has been around birds, squirrels, cats, and even foxes, and keeps trotting on her walk after a quick glance at them! She has also shown no sign of distress or discomfort when being left alone for periods of time.
She has been engaging in food toys, and especially loves chicken, dog safe peanut butter and adores coconut oil.
Noodles is a quiet, well behaved little girl who is looking for a home with a safe space, companion, and lots of patience! She would also benefit from positive reinforcement in her routine, as while she’s a superstar about doing her business when needed, she did have the occasional accident, as we are on the 25th floor and getting her ready to go out involves leading her up, waiting for the lift etc.
Noodles will make a lovely addition to a greyhound loving home, and her sleeping positions are sure to put a smile on your face! We adored having her to stay and know she will make the best pet in the right home.
