Sad news at the kennels
Our beautiful homeless hound Tyler – just turned 5 years old- has sadly been diagnosed with Lymphoma. Unfortunately, it is intermediate and he could, with medication, have only a matter of 2 to 3 months quality time with us.
However, every day in a dog’s life is precious to them – and his time with us and for any volunteer who comes down to see him, will be precious too. We have been assured he will not be in pain by this particular cancer but we will need to look out for symptoms like his appetite drastically diminishing and becoming extremely lethargic.
Our priority is making sure he has the best care, much love, happy times and a quality of life.
Wimbledon Greyhound Welfare are dedicating this weekend’s fundraising events (today’s Meet & Greet at Woking town centre, Wimbledon Park’s Village Fayre tomorrow and Sunday’s ‘Caff’ & our Sponsored Shampoo of kennel and homed hounds at the kennels) to our darling Tyler. Special thanks to all our lovely volunteers for taking their weekend time to help Hersham Hounds like Tyler.
I know you will all agree he is the loveliest of hounds and a very special Greyhound boy indeed.
