SEVERE HOT WEATHER WARNING!

As most of you will know, there is a severe hot weather warning forecast from this weekend ahead. Now that we are at that time of year where the weather can suddenly have a rush of excessively hot days, it is important you check the weather forecast the night before you plan to come to the kennels to walk the hounds on your weather app on the phone/pc.

Whilst our usual walking hours are 11am to 2 pm, if you see the weather during 11am – 1pm is 23C+, then please do NOT come at the normal time. We will be open between 8am and 9am only in those extreme temperatures, so that the hounds can walk in the shade and then be left to chill out for the rest of the day and avoid absorbing the excessive heat.

To book a walking slot, please ask Carol at the Kennels or tel: 01932 251894 (and leave a voicemail with your name, telephone no and intended date of walking) at least the day before your intended visit and leave a voicemail to say you are coming, so that we know we have enough walkers on those days it is forecast as being too hot for walking later in the day – and to check there is no fundraising event taking place on that day.

Hope this helps. We do have to rely on the weather forecasts the night before, as they can quickly change as the week progresses.

Before visiting the kennels to walk a hound,  you must make an appointment by phone and provide your mobile telephone number please, either live or via a voicemail booking.
