A RECORD 101 WGW GREYHOUNDS ‘REACHED THE BEACH’ (2018)’ AT WEST WITTERING WITH ALL OUR SUPPORTERS
Thank you so much to all our wonderfful supporters for joining us all on Saturday at the Beach for this annual event. It was a wondeful sight to see so many hounds together; many of whom had never been to the Beach before. Special thanks to Sharon McLeod, Lisa Bennett, Sandra Couch and Dot Hagon for making sure all the hounds went out on time and efficiently and effectively – coming in earlier than usual to hit the ground running!
Also Marina Ellis and Julie Higham mucked in to help make sure everything was on track. Great job guys and lucky to have such supportive staff and volunteers. Great photos and video from Andy Smith and Laura Fewell who headcounted 99 hounds on the beach who were then joined by a few extra hounds at the rear!
As an added bonus, we also raised £159.60 in donations from peoples generosity and £175 from the WGW shop. For those of you who also took time out to bring a kennel hound and give them a lovely day away from kennel life and a chance to feel the sea and sand beneath their feet, thank you all very much. It was a very special day for the hounds and humans!
