A great PR Day for ‘Wimbledon Greyhound Welfare’ today at Nonsuch Park Awareness Day Meet and Greet.
A big thank you to the team of supporters who took the time and effort to support this day on our behalf. A beautiful park with lots of people intending to come walking at the kennels, potentially homing and just generally interested in what we do. Special thanks to the 3 Daves (especially greyhound ‘Tess’s dad, Dave, for transporting and assembling the gazebo etc first thing), Lesley, Chris, Angela, Sarah, Laura (straight from her latest successful SSWG walk in Epsom), Diana and Tania and Fred and Ruby’s mum snd dad and all the wonderful hounds who demonstrated perfectly what great pets greyhounds make.
Kennel hounds Joe and Snowball were their usual charming selves who made a wonderful impression on the stall visitors. Great teamwork and a worthy exercise in showing the local community what WGW do as a self funding charity they may wish to support or walk a hound at or consider homing from in the near future.
Thank you to everyone – including the Park Patrol Rangers who organised the day – from us all at WGW.
