Kempton Meet and Greet – Sunday 22nd October

We certainly had the A Team at Kempton for the race meeting on Sunday 22nd October.

Everyone just got on with things so efficiently and with good humour and the racegoers were obviously enjoying meeting the hounds and their humans.

We had several “newbies” to Meeting & Greeting and it was lovely to see the hounds relaxing into the role and taking a lead from the more experienced ones. Ditto the humans.

Special mention must go to the kennel hounds, who were just wonderful with the public – no surprises there though, when you think about it, they are their own best advert.

Also to the volunteers who brought them and who took such good care of them so that none were over-stressed and all stayed just as long as they could cope with. Great job!

And then there were our stalwarts, both two-legged and four, going about the afternoon like the well-oiled machines that they are. What a pleasure to be with you all!

Also Neil & Sue, who took charge of all the gear and helped make that side of things as painless as possible…… thank you everyone.

More news on funds raised when we have the adding up done! Meanwhile, don’t forget to put 27th December back at Kempton in your diaries and to let the kennels know if you can come. It is the King George meeting and Kempton’s biggest of the year.

See you there!
