Kizzy was on foster with us for two and a half weeks whilst she got used to home life as a pet and tackled things like the scary stairs (which she is now a pro at going up, but still needs to be carried down). She is very smart and brave and will take to further training well. Shes such a wonderful gorgeous gentle girl (look at that face!).

She’s not a couch potato (yet) but she loves people, lying down close to you, getting a tummy rub and being pampered. She loves her walks, in fact she will go to her lead and let you know when she wants her walks, we were walking her at least twice a day. She is fine with other greyhounds and slightly bigger dogs, she’s still very confused by the smaller breeds and will usually freeze and stare at them trying to figure them out. She can be very confident and knows herself and her routine at home. But she also can get nervous and overwhelmed on walks, particularly around cars and cats. With enough exposure and positive encouragement we’re sure she will conquer these too.

She would do well in a home with routine, a big garden to run and play, and nice country routes to walk in and look long distances (she loves looking out!). She may also do well with another greyhound to grow in confidence around all these new things and show her the ropes. We saw her grow leaps in the short time we had her with us, but with patience and lots of love and routine, we think she will thrive in the right home

If you are interested in re-homing Kizzy then please contact the kennels. Or, even better, come along to the kennels between 11am and 2pm and walk some of our hounds to get to know them.
