‘Chestnut Sunday’ is a much-anticipated, family-friendly celebration held annually in Bushy Park. This cherished event comprises a fair and stalls & pays homage to the magnificent blossom of the horse chestnut trees that line Chestnut Avenue, an iconic feature of the park planted over 300 years ago. The event serves as a vibrant community gathering, combining tradition, entertainment, and a celebration of local culture.

A highlight of Chestnut Sunday is the colourful parade at 12.30pm that proceeds down Chestnut Avenue, showcasing an array of performers, vintage vehicles, and community groups. Visitors can also enjoy a lively funfair with rides and attractions suitable for all ages, making it a delightful experience for families.

Additionally, the event features an array of stalls hosted by local organisations, charities,such as ourselves. We hope you can help us by bringing a hound ftom the kennels or your own sighthound, to make a good display at the parade and meet the public at our stall.
