COMET WENT TO PAINSHILL PARK WITH ALEX B. IN JUNE 2018. THIS IS WHAT ALEX SAID ABOUT COMET:

Comet is a boy with black and white markings, he is very good looking and loves cuddles. He is very good with his fellow hounds and they also seem to like him. He was not used to cars and needed a little help to get in but once in he was very well behaved and settled straight down, I didn’t hear a peep from him for the entire journey.

He was happy to be out and he is a marker, giving select trees and bushes a good sniff and wee. He ignored the first small dog we met, this may have been due to him enjoying being somewhere new, he is very new to the kennels after all.

He walks very well on a lead, but he is a bit stiff at the moment and needs to have his stamina built up. When we met a spaniel, Comet was brilliant, going straight up to him, giving him a sniff and then ignoring him. With wildlife and ducks he was a little more curious, wanting to go up to them but not to chase them. If they had run that might have been another matter. The only excitement was caused by a 13 week old puppy play fighting with a small dog and I think Comet would have liked to have joined in.

Then we came across another dog and he again gave a quick sniff and then ignored the dog, but he did seem a little more interested than last time, he does need a little more exposure to other breeds to have a concrete impression before I can say for certain that he is perfect around all other dogs, but first impressions are very favourable. Again I had to help him get in the care by the settled straight down.

He is a hungry boy!! Be careful of your fingers when giving him treats as he is a real snatcher. Overall, he is good fun, likes a cuddle and seems good with other breeds.
