‘ This Morning’ with presenters, Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, contacted us this week for an update on ‘Leeroy’, for an update since the programne aired in October which they broadcast today. This is Leeroy’s story:
Gentle ‘Leeroy’ had been waiting for his forever home for nearly a year at ‘Wimbledon Greyhound Welfare’ in Surrey, when he made his wonderfully soulful appearance on ITV’s ‘This Morning’ in October last year as greyhound ambassador and gazed lovingly on set into presenter, Holly Willoughby’s eyes, as he demonstrated why Greyhounds Make Greyt Pets!
Watch the original video of Leeroy appearing as the star guest on This Morning TV.
His new owner, London architect, Chris, who had lost his greyhound boy only 3 months before the programme with Leeroy aired, happened to be watching and fell in love with this delightful greyhound boy. He then discussed the possibility of homing Leeroy with his wife, Janine; and they both agreed Leeroy was perfect for them.
They have a quiet home in London and also a beautiful holiday home in Suffolk which Leeroy apparently adores! He is a great PR representative for the breed and has grown in confidence in the months he has been at home with Chris and Janine and loves to tap dance play with Chris and sleep a lot, as greyhounds always do! Chris and Janine wouldn’t now be without Leeroy who they love to bits.
They will be forever grateful to the team at This Morning for showcasing this lovely greyhound boy and to Wimbledon Greyhound Welfare for bringing him into their lives. So, a very happy ending for Leeroy the Greyhound and for This Morning viewers, Chris and Janine.
